I am a philosopher and educator currently teaching at Boston University.

My research is in social metaphysics and my primary focus is on race, social structural causality, and the social ontology of capitalism. You can find links to my published writings here.

In addition to these, I am currently working on two larger scale projects: a study of the metaphysical commitments of Marx’s critique of political economy that interprets Marx in the social realist tradition that runs through Aristotle and Ibn Khaldun, and an interdisciplinary study of the historical construction of race in the colonial Spanish and French empires.
