Teaching

My philosophical teaching is focused on developing students’ capacities to read difficult texts carefully and thoroughly, formulate interpretations that are accurate and illuminating, and craft written and oral arguments that engage with the substance of controversial ongoing debates.

Generally, I am most interested in teaching courses that deal with topics at the disciplinary boundaries of philosophy, engage relevant work in the social and natural sciences, and include both canonical and marginalized or otherwise understudied figures.
